Condescending twelve-year-olds will be the death of me.
You know how, when you get bored, you start imagining alternate realities of your life in the future? Surveying all the possible different routes that every what-if that comes your way would take you to... and trying to draw up silly conclusions: "Alright then, if that ever happens, I'll do THAT and not THIS." But the conclusion always fades, somehow, the will always dissolves before the what-if actually appears right before your eyes... and thus, when it does arrive, you're stuck imagining possibilities and probabilities again as if you had never thought about it before.
*pathetic sigh
10th April is KYUEM's Open Day. I'm as anxious as it gets. Would anyone care to join the convoy?
*from this point onward, it's just the masterpiece of my imagination...
Wake up to the sound of bustling streets and the smell of cappucino. Grab a cuppa and head off for the first lecture, bright and early at eight in the morning. The tube's full of ladies and gents on their way to work and school; bleary-eyed and dragging their feet. Early for class, conversation ensues with classmates from Somalia and France. You make plans for a study group at the Student Union building later, just as the lecturer enters. One class down, three more to go for the day. Lunch is at the deli, fish & chips again and you can't wait for the halal food to arrive. The last lesson gets you all heated up in debate as you discuss the latest economic issue. People clap for a "Jolly good show!" on their way out. Study group is actually full of giggles rather than textbooks. Get some nourishment at Starbucks, and head home for a good two hours of homework. Dinner time, flip through the telly channels to see what's on as you eat your home-made vegetable lasagne. Brush teeth, check what's up with the family back in Malaysia. Sleep, snuggled under the duvet covers.
This was supposed to be yesterday's post. But my connection got cut off. SORZ.
